The Garmin 255 is clear, fast, accurate. I bought the refurbished example and it seems new. I get received it instantly for 4 months and can’t ideate being without it Garmin nuvi 255W gps much as I feel nigh the cell phone. I usage it on a daily basis, tracking down addresses for my business. It saves me countless hours of time and frustration. I experience only one thing that I would change if I could and that would be, that it get a mileage counter on it. This is my moment GPS, the foremost model, a different brand received a total mile counter that counted down the miles to the destination and an estimated time of arrival, which the Garmin does have. It is nice to know simply how far u experience left to exit ahead u cause there. There are some models of Garmins that don’t tell the street names out, they only articulate act properly or routine left. The 255 tells u the street names and the direction. My girl has a model that doesn’t and she like mine better.We get3 both the Garmin 205 and the nuvi 255w. We love the extensive screen on the 255w. Driving through Canada we were able to positioned it on Kilometers Per Hour to keep within the speed limits easily. I bought this TOMTOM for my daughter. Setup was flying and easy. It worked right out of the box simply I downloaded and installed the TOMTOM Home software on her Mac to accept advantage of TOMTOM’s latest function guarantee. When the unit connected to the computer I was offered the latest map. My exclusively complaint here is that it took several hours, eventide over a high speed internet connection, to download. The young map installed and the 340s was again cook to use.It has a total scope of features from items of interests to Advanced Lane Guidance. Amazon had a swell price, too, $149.00! The same unit was selling for $229.00 in Best Buy and Target stores.Worked smashing right2 out of the box. Dandy directions on foremost trip. Slowly to setup and use. Passel of advancement warning for lane changes, exits and turns. I experience not attempted to do the download of mapping updates due other reviews I read almost unit locking up due to memory issues. Selfsame TomTom XL 340s happy with my purchase.
